Williams showed his face, especially after getting a good scare in the third game, when he slipped near the net and twisted his left knee, on which he already had a cumbersome bandage that he had worn throughout the previous week. to the tournament.
Venus, applauded before, during and after the game, said goodbye in an hour and a half of the match, but pressing until the last moment, going from 5-1 to the final 6-3.
Although the match was even and a great show, both tennis players were not having a good personal moment, so they received an invitation from the organization to attend the tournament.
