The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, decided to talk about what could be one of the worst moments of his life, when he suffered a robbery inside his home in Paris in the early hours of Friday morning.
Inside the house were he and his girlfriend, and in an interview with the Italian media “Líbero” he told how those moments of terror were.
“Finding people at home at three in the morning suddenly I think is the worst feeling you can have,” said the goalkeeper.
The assailants broke into the main door of the building, located in the VIII district of Paris, and attacked both the doorman and his partner.
They were then tied up while committing the robbery. It is estimated that they took about $500,000 in belongings and cash.
“They immobilized me and forced Alessia to hand over everything we had of value,” said Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The police continue with the investigations to identify and capture those responsible, and for this reason the doorman did not provide many details of what happened.
“I can’t go into too much detail because there is an ongoing investigation. We had to vacate the flat to allow investigations to take place and we temporarily stayed in a hotel,” she added.
“The fear was great, but even more so was the fear that something would happen to Alessia,” recalled the Parisian goalkeeper.
Donnarumma also said that she does not understand the French language very well and that is why she did not understand the demands of the robbers very well.
“I was defenseless, tied up, I couldn’t do anything. Also, I don’t speak French very well and it was hard to explain where everything was. It was really frenzied moments of deep terror,” he explained.
