In the 90s Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan were one of the most attractive couples in Hollywood. She, at the time, was everyone’s favorite leading lady, it was inevitable that her eyes would be on her and her personal life.
They got married in 1991 and in 1997 they bought their first property together. It was an apartment in an old building on the Upper East Side, New York. According to specialized media, Quaid and Ryan paid $3.1 million for the place.
Shortly after announcing their divorce, in 2001, the couple decided to sell their home for $6.75 million. It must be remembered that the end of this relationship also meant the end of Ryan’s career, since, according to the media, the divorce was the result of the actress’s infidelity with Russell Crowe, who was also her recording partner in the movie ‘Proof of Life’ (2000).
Everything about the end of the relationship and Ryan’s successful career are speculation, because nothing has been confirmed by those involved. What is certain is that in 2001 they sold the apartment and now that same property entered the real estate market for $7.4 million dollars.
The current owner of the place has not been reported, but it is known that he bought it from banker Marsh Carter in 2017 for $6.5 million. It is known that the current owner made several reforms to the place.
The apartment has an extension of 3,000 square feet distributed in three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, hall, living room, dining room, kitchen and other amenities.
Interior highlights include arched doorways, inlaid hardwood and parquet floors, suede-covered walls and more. On the other hand, the kitchen is quite attractive thanks to its cornflower blue cabinets.
Of course, it also has large windows that offer a great view of the city.
