A resident of the city of Coquitlam, Canada, named Rosa Rodriguez, became a millionaire after winning $1 million Canadian dollars (about $755,829) on a Lotto 6/49 game ticket.

Rodríguez bought the winning ticket at London Drugs. The woman had not realized that she had won the grand prize until after she had arrived at a gas station to buy another ticket.

There he realized that he had won the draw on July 18.

“I checked my other ticket and thought I only won $1,000. I was too short to see the scanner so I had to lean down and scan again. I couldn’t believe I just won a million dollars,” said the lucky player.

Rodriguez said she was very excited to share the news with her husband. “He was very excited and he gave me a hug.”

The winner plans to use the money she has won to go see her family in the Philippines, build a new house there, and renovate her house in Coquitlam. She also wants to help her son and visit Singapore, the place where she met her husband.

Rodríguez said she is still shaken up and hanging in the air after her big win.

The odds of matching all six numbers for the $5 million jackpot on a Lotto 6/49 game ticket are 1 in 13,983,816.
