These statements were made by the Spanish tennis player in the midst of a strict recovery process after undergoing an arthroscopy (procedure to diagnose and treat joint problems); Until now it is expected that he will take at least five months to be able to be 100% again and this has recently kept him away from the courts.
“Everything went well and the arthroscopy was in the left psoas tendon that has kept me out of the competition since January (…) an old injury to the labrum of my left hip was also regularized, which will surely help the tendon evolve better,” Nadal said on his Twitter social network account to inform his followers about the process he underwent.
Nadal, 37, has not competed professionally since sustaining a psoas injury in his left leg last January during the Australian Open; on that occasion he withdrew from the competition in the second round against the American Mackenzie McDonald.
Despite the fact that the Spanish tennis player did not offer further details about why he preferred Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo, a lot could be based on the great achievements he has achieved throughout his career and more recently for his victory in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with the Argentina team.
