Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has turned himself in at the Fulton County, Georgia jail, where he faces charges of conspiring to rig the 2020 election results.
Giuliani, like Trump, faces 13 indictments, and will be arraigned after reaching a $150,000 bail deal.
The former lawyer who led the legal defense of Trump’s conspiracy theories about the alleged electoral fraud left his residence in New York this morning for Georgia.
“[Voy a] comply with the law, as I always do,” Giuliani said this morning. “I feel like I’m standing up for the rights of all Americans, as I have done so many times as a United States attorney,” he said.
It points out that Giuliani was one of the prosecutors who began to apply the RICO Law, but now he himself is accused under the same norm, for participating in a criminal conspiracy to try to modify the results of the presidential election in 2020.
“I am the same Rudy Giuliani who took down the mob, who made New York City the safest city in America, and who reduced crime more than any mayor in the history of any city,” he defended.
He even defended former President Trump, calling him “innocent.”
“I am fighting for justice. I have been from the first moment I represented Donald Trump. Innocent man,” he expressed.
