The Spanish Sergio Ramos could remain in European football. Although he has yet to find a team for the 2023-2024 season, it seems that the offer of a big team from Turkey would be attractive enough for the central defender.

And it is that according to Marca, Galatasaray, current champion of the Turkish League, would be looking to take over the services of the player who at the beginning of the transfer market rejected a couple of options from Saudi Arabia.

Although it has been sounded to return to Sevilla, the club’s leadership has denied its intentions to hire Ramos in large part because of his high salary. Salary was the same reason Besiktas dropped out of the race for the 37-year-old defender last week.

Galatasaray would be an option for Ramos due to the competitiveness of a team that will be made up of the Argentine Mauro Icardi (PSG), the Moroccan Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea), the British Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace), the Congolese Cédric Bakambu (Al Nasr) , among other figures.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Sergio Ramos would have a two-year contract with a salary of more than $5.4 million per season at Galatasaray, so the proposal is being considered by the player and his entourage.

A few days ago, Galatasaray sold Italian Nicolo Zaniolo to Aston Villa for $16.30 million, so they have money in hand to afford the transfer.
