A woman in the city of Summerville, South Carolina, said she started screaming when she realized she hit the jackpot with a lottery scratch-off and won a six-figure jackpot.
The woman told authorities from the South Carolina Education Lottery that she had almost completely forgotten about the scratch-off ticket she had purchased at the Harris Teeter store on Dorchester Road.
Days later, the woman remembered that she had bought the ticket, so she went for it and scratched it off. When she finished, she discovered that she had won a prize of no less than $200,000.
“It was totally amazing. I can’t wait for it to happen to me again,” the lucky winner told lottery authorities when she went to collect her prize.
The woman had a 1 in 750,000 odds of winning the jackpot in the 50X game.
The Harris Teeter store in the city of Summerville received a $2,000 commission just for selling the winning ticket.
