Singer Lizzo is planning a countersuit against the former dancers who accused her of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment, her attorney Marty Singer has said.
“She intends to sue by malicious process after she prevails and these misleading claims are dismissed,” Singer said in a statement published by TMZ.
The legal defender of the interpreter of “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” assured that the lawsuit against the 35-year-old singer is a farce; Likewise, he showed a series of images where the dancers are observed in the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris, where they were allegedly pressured to attend and touch naked people.
“These images show the three plaintiffs happily enjoying backstage after the topless show, taken after their February 2023 visit to the Bananenbar in Amsterdam, which they complain about in their lawsuit,” it added.
According to Marty Singer, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez returned to work with the singer after she allegedly pressured them to interact with nude performers at a sex-themed show at a club in Amsterdam’s Red Light District.
“These irrefutable photographs and videos, along with additional substantial evidence, prove the glaring contradictions between what the plaintiffs claim in their false lawsuit and what the facts actually prove,” he said.
The former dancers are seeking unspecified compensation and accuse Lizzo, her producer Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc., and Shirlene Quigley, captain of the artist’s dance team.
Ron Zambrano, lawyer for the alleged victims, analyzed the case of six other people with similar stories, for which Lizzo added, until August 9, nine accusations.
