“billing-at-adamari's-expense”:-fans-react-to-luis-fonsi's-new-song“Billing at Adamari's expense”: Fans react to Luis Fonsi's new song

Two months ago Luis Fonsi presented us with “Buenos Aires”, the first single from his new recording material called “El Viaje”. Today the Puerto Rican singer gives us the second song of this production called Pasa La Página “Panamá”, a song that many say is addressed to his ex-wife, Adamari López.

Before talking about the lyrics of this song, it is worth noting that the song is catchy, danceable and is part of the “urban pop” genre. The song is his own, but the usual ones also collaborated on it: Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo, a dumbbell with which Fonsi has achieved great successes such as “Despacito”.

Now, the million dollar question, why does everyone believe that the issue is directly related to his ex-wife, Adamari López? First the facts: Adamari and Luis got married in 2006, the marriage came to an end in 2010 , they have been separated for about 13 years; then Fonsi married the Spanish model Águeda López in 2014 and with her they have two children.

Adamari, for his part, met Toni Costa in 2011, when he competed in the Univision program “Mira quien baila”. Months after the end of the competition, the Puerto Rican began an affair with the Spanish choreographer, which ended in 2021. They never married, but they did get engaged. Alaïa was born from this relationship, the only daughter of the actress and television host.

Infidelity. When Fonsi’s relationship with Adamari ended, they accused him of being unfaithful. The same thing happened with Tony. Nobody, it is worth adding, confirmed the infidelity of either Costa or Luis Fonsi, but the conspiracy theories are on the Internet.

Now let’s talk about the lyrics of Pass the Page “Panama”

“Hey, turn the page, na na, you’re not the victim, ma ma, to be loved you don’t have to be sorry. Turn the page, nothing, go on with your life, da da, you are living a story that has already ended ”, sings Luis Fonsi in his new song.

Many applaud, sing and dance to this song, while others do not accept it and call it “very bad taste”. They have decided that the subject has as its only addressee Adamari López. “Billing at Adamari’s expense,” a fan commented on Despierta América’s Instagram account, where they presented the song and its video.

But again, why do they point to Adamari López so much? We do not know for sure if the singer, when composing the song, did it thinking about his ex-wife, everything, for better or for worse, could be a coincidence. But again let’s go to the facts, and this is what the public knows that knows part of the public and private life of Fonsi and Adamari.

To begin with, we must remember that on December 31, 2012, Adamari published her book “Living” where she talks not only about her fight against cancer that she was diagnosed with in 2005, Ada also reviews her life with Fonsi, who he was still her husband at the time.

Adamari gave an exclusive interview to the Al Rojo Vivo program about what was written in the book and confirmed that Fonsi had been unfaithful to her during their courtship and during their marriage and that she made the mistake of allowing it at the time.

All this was being forgotten as his relationship with Toni Costa was consolidating, however, strange as it may seem, months before his relationship with the Spaniard ended, Adamari conducted a series of interviews in which he resumed the subject of his past with the singer-songwriter and on social networks there were many messages that arose about leaving the subject behind, especially because now he was happy with someone else.

The separation with Toni Costa took place and again the comparisons did not wait:

Turn the Page “Panama” could be a clear response to Shakira’s latest songs!

It is important to repeat that we do not have all the answers that there are many coincidences to understand the reason why Adamari fans may feel that the song is a clear reference to the Puerto Rican. However, it is also possible that this song in spirit is a theme in response to the emotions that Shakira’s recently released songs have aroused.

Let’s remember that “Te Felicito”, “Monotonía”, “Music Session #53” and “Copa Vacía” are all songs inspired by a love that ended due to betrayal. These songs became hymns with which many applauded the fact of calling things by their name and being practically “the judge and executioner who exposes and punishes the traitor.”

With a song like Pasa La Página “Panamá”, Fonsi literally says: “A good listener, few words”. And once again, it is also important to clarify that in music, men and women bill with their pain, with their happiness and their own history, it is not an exclusive benefit for women, they have all done it and will continue to do so as well.
