Former Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas spoke about the kiss on the mouth given by Luis Rubiales, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), to soccer player Jennni Hermoso at the Women’s Soccer World Cup award ceremony in Australia and New Zealand 2023, where the red team took the cup against England by the slightest difference.
The former captain of the Spanish team assured that he felt “other people’s shame” when he saw Rubiales’ speech at the RFEF General Assembly, where the president assured that he was not going to resign from the governing body of Spanish football despite pressure
“Shame on others,” Casillas wrote on his social networks after assessing the achievements of the Spanish women’s soccer team, which in Australia and New Zealand won their first World Cup in history.
“We would have to spend these five days talking about our girls! Of the joy they gave us all! To boast of a title that we did not have in women’s football but… Shame on others”, he published boxes on his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter)
In what was the RFEF General Assembly, Rubiales assured that “justice is not being tried, a social murder is being carried out. They are trying to kill me.”
“False feminism does not seek justice, it does not seek the truth. They are preparing an execution to put on a medal and say that we are advancing,” added Rubiales.
On the other hand, the president of the RFEF assured that in the kiss “there is no desire and there is no position of dominance” and that it was “spontaneous, mutual, euphoric and consented, that this is the key to all criticism. He was spoiled ”.
