“Minas de Pasión” is the remake of Telemundo’s telenovela “La Patrona”, and although in essence they will tell us “the same story”, it is the emotional particularities of each character that will allow us to understand that we are facing something new and different. This story starring Livia Brito and Osvaldo de León will debut at 10PM/9C and together with them we will have the stellar performances of Anette Michel, Alejandro Camacho, Cynthia Klitbo, César Évora, Karyme Lozano and Omar Germenos, among others.
Pedro Ortiz de Pinedo, producer of this version, acknowledges during this interview that a lot of work was done on the story of each character, to add content to the dramatic story that is being presented. De Pinedo admits that while it is true that “Minas de Pasión” obeys the raison d’être of a soap opera, which is to lead us to the triumph of love, it is also true that with it they have wanted to delve into aspects that go beyond.
Livia Brito, for example, will have an extremely difficult story on her shoulders and will go through situations that will break her spirit when she sees herself humiliated, subdued and violated; Throughout this telenovela we will see her make the decision to survive and fight for love for her son, as a single mother she will find in him the engine to get ahead and that is how it will also be a clear reflection of the role that many women have in hundreds of million homes in Latin America.
We also talked with Pedro Ortiz about the inspiring role that Turkish soap operas have had for writers and producers, since in recent years lovers of the genre have found a different dramatic narrative in these stories, which has won them over. The audience levels that these soap operas have reached on Hispanic television networks is surprising, to such an extent that today many of these productions are bought to be broadcast in prime time.
Stories such as “What’s the fault of Fatmagül?”, “The Magnificent Century”, “El Sultán”, “The Thousand and One Nights”, “Forbidden Love” and “Ezel”, among others, have captivated the Hispanic public. However, this producer admits that the way in which passionate emotions are lived and exposed in Latin America is still valid, which is why dramatic overtones are the ones that are adapting and improving the most in the new proposals that are being seen. on tv.
