Actress Arleen Sorkin, who lent her voice to the character Harley Quinn, has died at the age of 67, DC director James Gunn has reported.
“Rest In Peace, Arleen Sorkin, the incredibly talented original voice of Harley Quinn, who helped create the character so many of us love. Love to her family and her friends,” she wrote.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sorkin died on Thursday and the actress stepped out of the spotlight due to a health problem that prevented her from acting or being on set for a long time.
Sorkin also participated in films such as ‘Love Actually’, ‘Picture Perfect’, ‘The Batman’, ‘Superman Movie, ‘Its Pat’ and ‘Ted & Venus’.
Star Wars actor Mark Hamill also remembered Sorkin on his Twitter account.
Devastated to learn that we have lost the brilliant Arleen Sorkin. Not just a wonderful talent, but a truly wonderful person. I am grateful not only to have worked with her, but to have been her friend. I send my deepest condolences to her family and loved ones of hers,” she wrote.
