The protocol is something that English football and especially the Premier League take great care not to break, but this Sunday during the match between Sheffield United and Manchester City unusual images were seen when a fan jumped onto the pitch to celebrate a goal along with Erling Haaland.
The recently promoted Sheffield stood up to City throughout the game but the goalscorer Haaland was the one to break the rival’s defensive fence and he did so.
A header was enough for Manchester City to win at minute 65′. However, the celebration of the goal surprised everyone present because beyond the joy of the Norwegian, a third party far from the game attended the celebration.
At the moment in which Haaland approached the stands, a fan jumped from the stands and fell on his shoulders, ecstatic for the goal.
Despite the fact that many footballers are uncomfortable with this type of act, the attacker kept the fan with him and even hugged him while celebrating with his teammates.
Haaland’s goal led to the victory of Manchester City, which thanks to a goal from Rodri on the hour remains unbeaten in the English Premier League.
