In early August, the body of a woman identified as Rachel Morin was found on a hiking trail in Maryland. The brutality of said murder has led the authorities to think that the suspect in said crime could be a serial killer. This was reported by the news portal Fox News.

Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, was declared missing by her boyfriend in early August after she headed out on the Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air.

Jeff Gahler, Sheriff of Harford County in Maryland, said in an interview with Fox News that the suspect in Morin’s death could not only be a serial killer, but could even strike again if he is not caught quickly.

“The violence associated with Rachel’s case shows that she has absolutely no care, no respect for human life. I think she’ll keep doing it until he’s caught. He could be a serial killer,” Gahler said, according to Fox News.

Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, was last seen alive when she went for a walk on the Ma & Pa Heritage Trail around 6:00 p.m. on August 5 in Bel Air, Maryland.

When she didn’t come home that night, her boyfriend reported her missing.

The next day, her body was found off the trail in a wooded area. So far, the police have not released his injuries or details about the gruesome murder.

According to information from Fox News, the DNA found at the crime scene matched that of a suspect wanted for a home invasion and assault on a girl in Los Angeles.

In addition, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the Harford County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been working intensively to identify the suspect. .

“Serial killers start somewhere. What he did in Los Angeles was certainly, in my opinion, in that direction,” Gahler told Fox News. “I think his intent was to inflict more serious physical damage.”
