The Spanish Ansu Fati could have the hours counted at FC Barcelona. As reported this Wednesday by Spanish media such as Mundo Deportivo and Marca, the striker could leave Barcelona to land in London, England, where he would play for Tottenham Hotspur.
The born in Guinea-Bissau and nationalized Spanish could leave Barça in the next few hours, since the market closes this Friday, September 1. Tottenham, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, is the club that has the best chance of taking Ansu, ahead of other suitors such as Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.
According to the same outlet, Jorge Mendes, Ansu Fati’s representative, the English club would be in advanced negotiations so that the 20-year-old striker arrives on loan to Tottenham, a team that would have to take care of the entire file so that Barcelona can comply with the financial fair play rules of La Liga.
The lack of continuity, added to the various injuries he suffered last season, have motivated Ansu Fati to want to add experiences in new ways.
The Portuguese Joao Félix, another player who is also represented by Jorge Mendes, would like to leave Atlético de Madrid and would be the main candidate to replace Ansu Fati.
Although Ansu Fati will not play any European competition since Tottenham finished eighth in the Premier League last season, the Greek-Australian coach Ange Postecoglou would have thought of a leading role for the one trained at La Masía, since with the departure of English Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, the Spurs attack needs a new player.
