It was through Instagram that Olga Tañón shared the painful news of her brother’s death with the following words: “In what is called life, our hearts break in many ways and at many times. Today he is one of them, on the way to Puerto Rico I received the sad message that my beloved older brother Juan, “Yayito” Candelario Tañón Cintrón, passed away at dawn.”

“This loss is profound for his daughters, our family, and me. Although these situations, unfortunately, are part of life, they do not fail to penetrate deeply into the heart. We are united and we have each other to continue forward. I love you and I will always be there. We have to continue strong, because life has bad moments, but I keep those little moments in which he gave me a smile. Fly high dear brother!

In her message, the singer did not report the reasons for her brother’s death, she limited herself to sharing with her followers about the emotional situation she is now facing and the pain that definitely overwhelms both her and those who survive her brother, who are his wife and daughters.
