Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz defeated Lloyd Harris this Friday at the US Open to advance to the next round of the tournament. In which he intends to defend him, since he is the current champion of the joust.
After the victory, the 20-year-old commented at a press conference not only about his victory in tennis, but also a bit about soccer. Well, Alcaraz is a fan of Real Madrid, so he took the opportunity to make him notice and praise one of the new signings of the Blanco team, the Englishman Jude Bellingham.
“I am very happy to see him play for Real Madrid. He is a fantastic and talented player, one of the best in the world,” the young tennis player began, commenting, who is still number 1 in the ATP ranking.
Bellingham joined Real Madrid this summer in exchange for $120 million dollars. The young English footballer is barely 20 years old and has a lot to improve. This room for improvement is clear to Alcaraz, who also pointed out that Jude will be one of the best in the world. “I’m sure he will be the best player in the world in that position,” Alcaraz said.
Alcaraz, as a good Real Madrid fan, couldn’t help but express how happy he is to have such a player on his team. “I am very, very happy to have him on the team,” said the Murcian tennis player.
The Spaniard also said that he has come to chat with Bellingham on a couple of occasions and highlighted the great personality of the footballer not only on, but also off the field. “He is a great person too. He is a complete guy ”, he closed.
Carlos Alcaraz’s next commitment will be on Saturday, September 2 against the British Daniel Evans, for the third round of the US Open. Third Grand Slam of the year and second that the young Spanish tennis player seeks to win.
