The fever for winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is still alive. According to Argentine media reports and later confirmed by EFE, tickets for the debut of the Argentine team in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada were sold out in Just two hours.
After going on sale this Thursday at 6:00 pm ET, just two hours later there were no more tickets available. The match will be played on September 7 in the Más Monumental Stadium, River Plate’s field, in Buenos Aires, which has a capacity for 84,000 spectators.
The cheapest tickets that went on sale are for minors with a value of $31 dollars at the official exchange rate, followed by general tickets that cost $54 dollars.
The tickets for the Sívori, San Martín and Belgrano high stands had a value of $111 dollars, while the passes for the San Martín and Belgrano low and medium stands were around $248 and $254 dollars, respectively.
In this way, the world champion team with Lionel Scaloni, Lionel Messi, Ángel Di María and company, return to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with great expectations.
