The Mexican boxer and current undisputed super middleweight champion, Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez, is recognized as one of the most important boxers in the world thanks to the large number of titles and fights he has won throughout his career. However, he is also known for the big heart that he has to support the most needy people in different countries.
For this reason, the boxer has been contacted by a Chilean mother who sent him a video to request his help in order to save the life of her son, who is going through a rare disease that puts his health at risk.
Through social networks, a video went viral in which Vanessa, Emiliano’s mother, explained to the man from Guadalajara the serious illness that this two-year-old child is going through; In the images, she asks for your help to help them raise the requested money so that she can begin to apply the treatment that her son requires and thus be able to save her life.
“Hello Don Canelo, my name is Vanessa and this is my son Emiliano, he is one year old and eight months old and he has a degenerative disease called spinal muscular atrophy. It is a rare and very catastrophic disease”, says Emiliano’s mother.
In the video, Vanessa affirms that the medicine her baby needs is the “most expensive in the world”, so it has been practically impossible for her to have managed to raise the $2.1 million needed.
“I have struggled day and night to get the medicine that he needs to continue living, to improve his quality of life, but I have not been able to, it is a lot of money, it is 2.1 million dollars, it is a medicine that is worth the same in all sides because only one laboratory does it”, he concluded.
