Love at first sight. This is how the relationship of the public at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium with English midfielder Jude Bellingham can be defined. After his debut at the White House, he highlighted that the moment after his goal was “the loudest thing” he has ever heard “on a soccer field” .
Speaking to Real Madrid TV, Bellingham said: “The moment of my goal is the loudest thing I’ve ever heard on a soccer field. I can not believe it. When they sang ‘Hey Jude’ at the end I wanted to stop and listen to them. My legs were shaking.”
“I know that they signed me for moments like this, I know that I can do it and I have to continue like this,” he expanded.
Real Madrid took the win thanks to a goal from Englishman Jude Bellingham in the 95th minute of the game, culminating the comeback for the locals against Getafe (2-1) that Joselu Mayo started in the 47th minute to equalize Borja Mayoral’s goal in 11.
This Saturday was the Santiago Bernabéu’s league debut and when the derby against Getafe was tinged with the gray of the sky that prevented the new roof from being seen on the stage, Bellingham came to the rescue in the 95th minute to score for the fourth consecutive game in a match to which Kroos changed his face.
Ancelotti highlighted Bellingham’s goalscoring ability
After his team’s victory against Getafe two goals for one, Carlo Ancelotti spoke at a press conference and praised Jude Bellingham, who scored the goal for the agonizing victory.
It was a difficult match, we already knew that. We have played against a team that defends very well. We have had many occasions, little by little we have improved. The second part has been different. We scored early and then the game was under control. We won with a goal from Bellingham, who is used to scoring”, declared the Italian coach.
And about Bellingham he declared: “At the level of quality, Bellingham is not surprising, it is surprising that he has scored many goals. The thing about Kroos and Modric is a problem of minutes, but not of quality. When they have entered they have always contributed something. I didn’t want to change much because we had one game a week”.
And he elaborated on Bellingham: “He can reach 15 goals without a problem. It stands out because he moves very well without the ball. This is the main quality of him. He breaks lines, has a great movement, constant, that’s why he scores so many goals. He was very calm, very focused. He really wanted to play here, but I have seen him very calm, very focused on the game ”.
And he closed: “He is a player who learns very quickly. It is not necessary to say things many times. We have shown him videos of what we liked about him when he played for Dortmund. What he has changed is that he moves a lot. He does more, movements without the ball to the rival area. He is a player who always dribbles to go towards the rival goal, not to go backwards”.
