A Bronx man was killed after a person smashed a glass bottle over his head in a dispute that took place Friday morning, authorities said.
Officials said Mario Fernandez, 50, sustained a fatal laceration to his neck in an attack that occurred on Marion Avenue in Fordham Heights at approximately 12:32 midnight.
According to New York police sources, the Hispanic, who lived on the same block of Marion Avenue, had gotten into an argument at the scene when an unknown person hit them on the head with a glass bottle. , slitting his throat during the attack.
Paramedics transported Fernandez to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, AM New York reported.
