British presenter and comedian James Corden is ready to start building his modern mansion in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England.

In January of this year it was reported that Corden already had part of the permits, which they had a hard time finding. He was allegedly in talks for a year.

The original property, which dates back to the 1960s, needs to be demolished to begin construction on his new home. Corden’s building plans were long stalled by objections from the council and English Heritage.

Recently, sources close to the comedian say the current construction plan pleases everyone involved. The same source said: “It’s been a long road, but the place will be amazing when it’s finished.”

One of the additions to the plan that was made at the request of the authorities is: lighting to protect bats, badgers and fireflies. Some gardens will also be made with the aim of keeping 45 megalithic granite stones safe.

The new main house will have six bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a foyer, living room, great room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, and other amenities.

Among the additions they did not allow is a two-story pool house, two swimming pools, a yoga studio, a sauna, a massage room and a garbage dump.
