Manchester United suffered a painful defeat three goals for one against Arsenal in the Premier League and after the duel there were some explosive statements from the Dutch coach, Erik Ten Hag.
“Jadon was not called up for the game because of his performance in training,” Ten Hag said.
“We did not select it. He has to reach a level every day at Manchester United and so we can make decisions on the front line, that’s why he wasn’t selected for this game”. Sancho had played all the Premier League games until the game against Arsenal, although he did come off the bench in all of them.
The lack of a goal is a complaint from the team’s fans and the one who is called to continue to do so is Rashford, who opened his goalscoring account this season at the Emirates. The team’s four previous goals had been scored by either centrals or midfielders.
Without minutes for Sancho, the attacking positions are divided between Antony, Garnacho and Martial, who are not proven scorers either. Mount also arrived, who is currently injured.
Sancho’s forceful response
“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow them to say totally false things. I have behaved very well in training this week”, wrote Sancho.
“I think there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into. I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time, which isn’t fair. The only thing I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and help my team”, continued the English winger.
The player who has played 58 Premier League games since joining United in 2021, said that, despite everything, he respects all the decisions made by the coaching staff and concludes: “I play with fantastic players and I am grateful to do so. That’s why I know that every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this shield no matter what!”
