Russia destroyed four more speedy landing craft from Ukraine, this time allegedly made in the United States, off the coast of the annexed Crimean peninsula, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

“On September 4, 2023, at night, in the northwestern part of the Black Sea, aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed four military high-speed boats of the US Willard Sea Force with landing parties of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the ministry said.

The boats were heading towards Cape Tarjankut, on the Crimean coast, added the department headed by Sergei Shoigu.

In addition, Defense reported that tonight around 22:00 GMT destroyed Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea near Crimea and over the territory of the Kursk border region.

In recent days, Ukrainian attempts to land on the peninsula and to attack the Crimean bridge have intensified.

Last Saturday Russia claimed to have destroyed at night three maritime drones launched by Ukraine against the infrastructure, which suffered two serious attacks in October 2022 and in July 2023.
