After having put an apparent end to his career in Europe’s elite soccer, the Brazilian Neymar Jr. still has some pending scores with the most popular sport in the world. After leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, the 31-year-old forward recently assured that he still has a dream to fulfill before hanging up his boots.

In an interview with Globo Esporte, Neymar pointed out that he still has ambitions but with his team and that he still dreams of winning the World Cup with his team: “Obviously I hope that one day I can fulfill my biggest dream, which is to win the World Cup. That’s obvious, but sometimes it doesn’t happen,” said the carioca.

“In Brazil we have a man who is the greatest idol, one of the most important names in the country’s history, which is Zico, and he hasn’t won a World Cup. That does not justify the quality and the gift that he had, and that also applies to me, ”the Al Hilal striker clarified.

On a possible reunion with his Argentine friend Lionel Messi in soccer in the United States, Ney said: “I can’t say if I would do it or not, I don’t know, it depends a lot on the moment in which you find yourself, on your choices, on what what you want What I always dream of is playing in Brazil again, I want to do it, I’ll be back one day or another. He also wanted to play in the United States. They are two championships in which I really want to play ”.

In this sense, the striker did not rule out a future return to the club that formed him and where he became known to the whole world, Santos: “I really want to play for Santos again. I know that saying this now puts a lot of pressure on me, but I want to, I already wrote it there when I was leaving, I’m leaving, but I’ll be back. I want to play for Santos again, I don’t know when, but you can be sure I’ll be back”.
