The millions of Saudi Arabia burst into the world soccer market with force, it is for this reason that clubs like Manchester City are desperate to shield their figures to prevent them from emigrating to the Middle East.

In recent days the ‘Citizens’ contacted the agents of their striker Erling Haaland to offer him a new contract in which the scorer’s salary will be doubled.

The champions of the Champions League activated an emergency measure to ensure Haaland in the long term and rest assured that he will not be able to be seduced by either Real Madrid or the millions of Saudi Arabia.

City would offer Haaland a long-term link with a basic salary of more than $600,000 a week if he agrees to extend his stay to a new date after June 2027. In terms of numbers, this would be a salary increase. 60.5% for the winner of the Premier League Golden Boot last season.

With the Saudi Pro League offensive on the European continent, the defending Premier League and FA Cup champions feel compelled to readjust the Norwegian goalscorer’s numbers. Haaland will become one of the eight highest-paid soccer players on the planet, with an annual salary that will jump from $20 million to more than $25 million annually, if he renews in the coming months.

In his first season in England, the Norwegian-born scored a staggering 52 goals in all competitions for Josep Guardiola’s side. The English team always intended to reward those feats with a significantly higher renewal than the bond he initially signed when he was bought from Borussia Dortmund for $55 million.
