On September 13, millions of retirees will receive the first batch of Social Security payments to be made this month. In just 8 days, some could receive up to $4,555.
Payment will fall on the second Wednesday of the month, and will be received by people born between the 1st and 10th of any month of the year.
The second batch of payments will be distributed on September 20 for retirees who were born between the 11th and 20th of any month.
The final batch will be given on September 27 for people born on or after the 21st of any month of the year.
The amount of payment each person receives will depend on several factors, including the age at which each took retirement.
People who retired at age 62 can receive up to $2,572 per month.
On the other hand, those who retire at 67 receive a maximum check of $3,627.
And those who delay their retirement until age 70 are the ones with the most, since they can have up to $4,555 dollars a month.
