Actress Sophie Turner sued Joe Jonas to return her daughters to England.

According to documents obtained by the New York Post, the singer has “held” the minors, avoiding handing over their passports so that they can leave New York, where they are with their father.

“The father has prevented the girls’ return to England, which constitutes a violation of the mother’s custody rights, under English law, England being the habitual residence of the minors,” says the lawsuit filed in a court of Manhattan.

Willa, 3, and her sister, 1, had stayed with their father in the United States while Turner filmed a project in England.

“Sophie was busy filming this summer, so Joe and Sophie thought this setting would be best for their daughters. “Sophie and Joe’s daughters have been with Joe while he was on tour, because he is surrounded by family and it is nice for the children to be with their aunts, uncles and cousins,” the complaint states.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress alleged that, prior to their separation, the couple had agreed that they would make the United Kingdom their “definitive home,” as it is a safe place to raise their daughters.

“Both parties were excited about the family’s move to England,” the documents state.

However, Turner confessed that she found out about Joe Jonas’ divorce request from the media.

Without mentioning the reasons, Turner, 27, revealed that she had an argument with Joe on August 15, on the singer’s 34th birthday.

After four years of marriage, Jonas filed for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.
