A man in Michigan won $4 million dollars with a lottery scratch-off game that he bought with part of the winnings from another of these games.
The winner, who resides in Kent County, chose to remain anonymous.
The winner, who is 54 years old, said he wants to travel the world with the money obtained.
The player purchased the winning Millionaire’s Club ticket at a Citgo gas station on Plainfield Avenue, Grand Rapids.
The man reported that he had already won $50 in another instant lottery game and wanted to invest that money.
Since the store had sold out of the $50 scratch-offs, he chose the $30 one.
“When I scratched the ticket and saw that I had won $4 million, the first thing I did was call my brother. He told me to make sure it wasn’t a fake lottery ticket, so I turned it over and read even the fine print on the back. After I confirmed that it was not a hoax, I called the lottery so they could also confirm the prize,” he said.
Recently, the winner visited the Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. The man obtained a sum of $2.7 million through a cash payment.
Since the “Millionaire’s Club” scratch-off game was launched last September, it has awarded more than $61 million in prizes. Players can win between $30 dollars to $4 million.
