This Saturday a new exhibition of mixed martial arts will take place at UFC Fight Night 228 to be held at the Apex in Las Vegas; Impressive fights are expected on this card, featuring the presence of the Mexican Montserrat Rendón, who will make her debut in the UFC in the first fight of the night.

The 34-year-old fighter comes to this stage with a perfect record of five wins and zero losses to demonstrate that she has all the qualities of being a champion like her compatriot Alexa Grasso; The option to be part of UFC Fight Night card 228 is due to the invitation of Dana White and the other management members of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, who decided to give her the opportunity to show what she has in the octagon.

“I worked every day to have this opportunity, I feel very lucky and I feel more than ready to take advantage of this opportunity. Every time she trained she did it thinking that she was going to make it to the UFC,” the Cancun-born woman expressed prior to her fight that Saturday.

“I have an undefeated record, all my fights have been in the United States and I think that is very important for them and I think another factor is that all Mexicans right now are doing a good job and that has opened the doors for us,” added the fighter who arrives with the intention of becoming a UFC champion.

The Mexican’s rival will be the Brazilian Tamires Vidal, who comes to this fight with a record of seven wins and one loss; She also accumulates a string of six consecutive victories, a fact that would complicate the fight for Rendón.

“She is a pretty strong opponent, I have always really wanted to fight against a Brazilian and that makes me very excited. We have studied it very well, but we have a strategy that we hope will emerge from it. I see that she has some aspects that we can exploit and take advantage of,” she stated.

“This fight is going to be the good one to finish before the three rounds, but all the fights have been very hard, I was against the United States Golden Gloves, I was against people who at that time were training with people from the UFC and I was barely starting, but the knockouts are going to come, I’m training for it. I believe that on Saturday we will have a finalization on my part,” concluded Montserrat Rendón.
