74% of Americans are concerned about the physical and mental health of President Joe Biden, who hopes to repeat himself in the White House after the 2024 elections.

These data are reflected in a survey developed by NBC and published this Sunday, which breaks down that 59% of the voters consulted have serious concerns and another 15% have moderate concerns.

Biden is 80 years old and when he faces the elections next year he will be 81. That is a point that the Republican Party has been able to take advantage of as part of its campaign to generate doubts about the Democrat’s ability to lead the country through another four years.

“I know he is 80 years old. I know that 80 year olds are perfectly capable. I am more concerned about Biden’s physical health. She seems a little weak and this job has a cost,” Democrat Mary Lyon, of Arizona, told the news network.

The study also reflected concerns about Biden’s possible knowledge or involvement in his son Hunter’s business dealings, such as alleged financial irregularities and corruption, NBC said.

The results are not very encouraging for former President Donald Trump: 47% of the population surveyed said they have concerns, between important and moderate, about the physical and mental health necessary for him to assume a possible mandate.

In addition, there are also doubts related to the different criminal and civil trials that the Republican faces for alleged irregularities, such as the attempt to annul the 2020 elections, in which Biden was the winner.
