The story between Katy Perry, her husband Orlando Bloom and Mr. Carl Westcott continues and more evidence appears against the singer and the actor. First of all, we must remember that the acting couple was sued by Westcott in August of this year.

Westcott, 83, alleges that the couple took advantage of him to get him to agree to sell them a large mansion in Santa Barbara, California. Supposedly at the time the negotiations were made he “lacked mental capacity.”

This whole situation, which has now reached court, began in July 2020, when the Bloom Perrys paid $15 million to Westcott for their property.

A few days ago ‘New York Post’ managed to access documents that further expand the information about the case. It is said that Perry and Bloom wrote a letter to the old man where they made clear their desire to acquire the home.

According to ‘New York Post’, the couple talks about their future daughter in the letter: “As you know, we are expecting a baby next month and we know that this will be the best place to bring her home and raise her.”

But to that letter are added some statements suggesting that the couple wanted to take advantage of the property and not make it their main residence. It seems that his business idea was to put the property up for rent and receive several thousand dollars a month.

Even the legal documents released suggest that during 2021 Perry rented the home for $75,000 per month; However, the singer’s lawyers say that her client lost money because in 2020 she did not receive the property papers.

Perry’s legal team is also seeking an additional $2.67 million in damages from Westcott.

For now we only have to wait for the decision of the authorities and the arrival of new evidence.
