A woman from Virginia got a tremendous surprise when she went through a pile of stacked papers and found among them a Powerball lottery ticket from a drawing that occurred a few months ago.

The 75-year-old woman, who preferred to remain anonymous, had purchased the Powerball ticket on July 19, just when one of the biggest prizes in the history of this lottery was at stake.

The days passed and the woman completely forgot that she had purchased the Powerball ticket and it was not until a few days ago, when she was cleaning up papers, that she came across it. Immediately, she checked the result of the drawing and discovered that she had won $100,000 dollars.

“This is wonderful. “I am simply blessed,” commented the lucky winner when she went to claim her Powerball prize last Wednesday.

In addition, he explained that he chose the numbers at random and fortunately, he matched 4 of the white balls plus the golden ball, which helped double his winnings.

Regarding what plans she has with her prize, the winner indicated that the first thing she will do is deposit the money into her bank account, in which she and her family decide what they will invest it in.
