According to what was reported by various Mexican media, the event occurred last weekend in the Chipinque Ecological Park, located in the municipality of San Pedro Garza, in the state of Nuevo León. A family came to this site to have a fun day, which included hosting a lunch on site.
However, they never imagined that a black bear would join their picnic. In the video you can see the animal, on top of the table, eating the food that was on the plates one by one, while a woman has a child on her legs and covers his face to avoid a shock that could occur. upset the bear.

Fortunately, the person who recorded the video managed to throw another plate of food away from the table that caught the attention of the black bear, which came down from the table to eat it and subsequently walk away from the place and leave the family in peace.
After their story went viral, the protagonists indicated that, previously, they had discussed that they could have a close encounter with a bear, since the Chipinique park is a natural reserve of almost 2,000 hectares, which is located near from the metropolitan area of Monterrey, where the presence of black bears has been recorded in recent years, so they knew how they should act if this occurred.
Park authorities assure that black bears have food in their natural habitat and only come to urban areas because the smell of garbage and other attractants attracts their attention and not because they are hungry.
