The midfielder and Fluminense figure, Paulo Henrique Ganso, praised the captain of the Argentine National Team, Lionel Messi, whom he considered “a football extraterrestrial” and expressed admiration for his career.
“Messi is simply a genius of world football. An alien. “You can’t help but admire him,” Ganso said in a note given to the official FIFA website.
And he stressed: “You look at how it has evolved and it is hard to believe. It seems to get better every year. It was a privilege to see him play up close. As I said, Messi is an ET”
After winning the Libertadores with Santos in 2011, they had to face the Catalan team in the final of the Club World Cup, which they lost 4-0. The Brazilian midfielder highlighted the high level of that team.
“Despite not having won the tournament, which was what we had set out to do, for a young player it has been a very good experience. We were able to play against the best Barcelona in history, everyone agrees. Seeing up close how that fantastic team played was incredible,” he commented.
“This City team under Josep Guardiola is extraordinary, but that Barcelona team had a fantastic eleven and an ET, the genius of world football,” said the talented Fluminense midfielder.
On the other hand, Ganso was asked which team will win the Copa Libertadores semifinal between Boca Juniors and Palmeiras, which the Brazilian did not dare to risk. “That is very difficult to answer. Both of their shirts have a lot of weight. “They are both very strong in important matches in important competitions like this,” he concluded.
