With three days left until the long-awaited fight between Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez and Jermell Charlo to be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the American boxer has warned the Mexican about the consequences that could arise if he underestimates him.

“Do not underestimate my experience, my power and my abilities. On Saturday I will be a damn lion,” said Charlo, undisputed super welterweight champion, who has not participated in an official fight since May 2022 when he retained his belts from Argentine Brian Castaño.

“Canelo has never fought a gladiator of my caliber, I know he has fought many boxers, with greats, but what I will bring to the table is different from what he has seen. “I thank him for agreeing to fight me, but I know how to win,” added the 33-year-old boxer.

Jermell Charlo will enter the ring with the intention of making history by becoming undisputed champion of two categories, this if he manages to snatch from ‘Canelo’ Álvarez his super middleweight titles of the World Association, the World Council, the International Federation and the Organization Boxing World Cup.

“I have a lot going for me to continue my legacy. I have to be quick with all my boxing tools so that the fans win on Saturday night with a good fight. The training camp was hard and now I have to focus on ‘Canelo’, who is a boxer who has nothing to prove,” said the North American boxer.

Jermell, who comes into this fight with a record of 35 wins (19 by knockout), one loss and one draw, stated that he has fought his entire career for an opportunity like this, to face Álvarez, formerly the best pound-for-pound boxer and one of the most media of the moment.

“We finally reached this moment. I just know that I am blessed and grateful. I am one of the best boxers of this new era. “I deserve to be in this fight to demonstrate my value,” he stated.
