The news Caracol News published several audios this Tuesday that would confirm that the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, received logistical support and financing from Sandra Navarro, wife of drug trafficker Juan Carlos López, alias Sobrino, for the presidential campaign of the leader of the Historical Pact.

The conversations, which are part of an investigation by the media, were intercepted by the United States Drug Control Administration, the Colombian Police and the country’s Prosecutor’s Office.

In one of them, between Navarro and Sonia Bernal, former candidate for Congress for the leftist coalition and current deputy director of Government, Territorial Management and Fight against Trafficking of the Ministry of the Interior, the women talk about an amount of money that the drug trafficker’s wife was to leave at “Casa Petro”, in the town of Yopal, capital of Casanare.

Another audio would also confirm that Navarro lent vehicles to transport former senator Gustavo Bolívar, who is a candidate for Mayor of Bogotá, Vice President Francia Márquez and Congresswoman Katherine Miranda at campaign events in Casanare.

The investigation also reveals that the drug trafficker’s wife allegedly collaborated with Gustavo Petro’s campaign in Casanare for at least six months. At that time, the woman supposedly showed her annoyance at the amount they were asking for from the Historical Pact, reports the EFE news agency.

The research complements one already presented by Caracol News last August 13. At that time, it was learned that a campaign event for the current president of Colombia allegedly took place at the home of López, who after serving a sentence in the United States for drug trafficking also received a sentence in Colombia.
