British guitarist David Gilmour has just put his property in East Sussex, England, back on the real estate market for £10 million, which is equivalent to $12.3 million.
Initially this property had been put up for sale last summer for £15 million, but the reduction in its cost has nothing to do with a lack of interest but with the decision of the guitarist and his wife, the writer Polly Samson , not to sell the entire property.
It seems that now they only offer the main house and will keep the recording studio that was built especially for Gilmour, known worldwide for being the guitarist of the band Pink Floyd.
All this information was released by ‘Mansion Global’, who had access to a statement released by Pereds, the London-based real estate agency that is in charge of the property. The statement reads: “the main property, Medina House, is now being offered alone, and this is reflected in the quoted price (…) no acceptable offer has yet been received.”
The main house has an area of 8,000 square feet with five bedrooms, several bathrooms, hallway, living room, main room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, library, music room, gym, wine cellar and other amenities.
This property was completed remodeled in 2020, five years after the couple bought the place.
The interior features hardwood floors with underfloor heating, polished plaster ceilings and walls, wood-burning and gas fireplaces, a smart home system and much more. It also stands out for having been built under sustainable characteristics.
Another point that the buyer must take into account is that the guitarist will probably be found there one day, since he will continue with the recording studio.
