Five years ago, the death of American Aretha Franklin, considered the Queen of Soul, was confirmed. Currently she continues to make headlines for the multiple properties she purchased throughout her life.
It was recently reported that a property he owned in Detroit was sold this summer. According to the ‘New York Post’, the property entered the market in May for $800,000 and by July a purchase contract had already been signed, although the exact price paid by the new owners is unknown.
The home is located at 18261 Hamilton Road and has a long history, dating back to before Franklin purchased it.
It is known that the sellers bought the place in 2018, shortly after the singer’s death, for $300,000 and tried to sell it first for more than $1 million during 2022.
It should also be noted that this mansion was abandoned for a long time and many mourn the loss of various furniture and objects that belonged to the Queen of Soul. Among everything, a striking pink bathtub stood out.
The identity and intentions of the new owner with this residence are unknown.
Franklin purchased this property in 1993, but it was originally built between 1927 and 1929.
The main house is 6,000 square feet spread over three floors with several bedrooms, several bathrooms, foyer, living room, great room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and other amenities.
Additionally, there is a garage with capacity for three vehicles.
