“The Disciplinary Commission informs that it decided to financially sanction Club América for not complying with the provisions, guidelines and agreements made by the Internal Security Council, thereby violating the provisions of article 48 of the Sanctions Regulations of the Mexican Federation of Soccer, because it did not guarantee the order and safety of those attending the Stadium during the match corresponding to Matchday 10 of the 2023 Apertura Tournament of the MX League,” the text details.
The FMF Disciplinary Commission also warned the club that if this event were to be repeated, greater sanctions would be applied than those taken in this first instance in order to achieve a true impact on the club’s board.
“Finally, Club América is warned, since in the event that this type of situation occurs again, the Disciplinary Commission may impose more severe sanctions against it,” the statement adds.
