FC Barcelona rescued a victory against Porto by the slightest difference on the second round of the UEFA Champions League. In a not very attractive match for those led by Xavi Hernández, Porto fell at home despite having imposed the pace of the entire match.
Barcelona arrived at the Estadio Do Dragao with the Dutchman Frenkie De Jong, the Spanish Pedri and the Brazilian Raphina missing due to injury, while the Polish Robert Lewandowski had to be replaced in the first half due to discomfort. However, without even deserving it, Barcelona sealed its second consecutive victory in the race for “La Orejona”.
In the first twenty minutes of total siege by the local squad, Porto surprised the Catalan team with high pressure and winning almost all the duels.
With a disconcerted Barcelona, Joao Félix and Lamine Yamal were the ones who created the most danger for the Portuguese team’s goal, until an error by Romário Baró at the start was taken advantage of by Gündogan to filter a pass to Ferran, who scored the only goal of the match at minute 45+1.
Already in the second half, Koundé saved the 1-1 score by taking a ball to Pepé when he reached the area and was already arming his right leg to beat Ter Stegen.
