Comedian and filmmaker Judd Apatow decided to get rid of the mansion in Brentwood Park, California, that once served as home to him and his family with actress Leslie Mann.
Apatow bought this residence in 2009 for $18 million dollars and has now sold it for $27 million dollars. Both transactions were made in negotiations outside the real estate market, so there are no public photos that show the place in detail.
The creator of ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin’ and ‘Knocked Up’ bought this place from Marty Adelstein, producer of ‘Prison Break’. The house was even originally built in 2005 for Adelstein.
At the moment the identity of the new buyer is unknown, but it is expected to be a person also related to Hollywood. If so, he would be the third to inhabit the place.
It is also true that the new owner will share the street with other celebrities such as Sofia Richie, David Foster and Trey Parker.
The Apatows for a time enjoyed a 10,000-square-foot main house consisting of five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, mudroom, living room, great room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and other amenities.
In addition to the main house there is a pool house, a garage with capacity for three vehicles and a motor court.
Outside there are green areas with a terrace, swimming pool, dining room and other spaces ideal for enjoying the outdoors.
This sale comes shortly after Apatow and Mann talked about being left alone in their home, as Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow, their daughters, moved out. Even a few months ago Iris showed off her new home.
