The goalkeeper of the Tigres de la UANL, Nahuel Guzmán, can be highly criticized on many occasions by fans and the media within the Liga MX, considering him a person who does not usually follow the rules due to his attitudes; Despite that, in the players’ minds he seems to be quite loved and considered a great figure.

A sign of this respect that his rivals have for him was shown by the UNAM Pumas goalkeeper, Julio González, who revealed that he greatly admires him and considers that he is the best goalkeeper in the entire Mexican championship due to his ability to defend. the three posts in each of the matches he plays.

During an interview with TUDN, the Pumas goalkeeper highlighted that he has a total of two goalkeepers that he admires within Liga MX; The first of these is his former partner Alfredo Talavera and the second is Nahuel Guzmán.

“Tala and Nahuel (admire), I learned a lot from Tala, he helped me a lot to learn the aerial game. “Nahuel, because of the personality he has and the moment he lives in, for me today he is the best goalkeeper in the League,” González expressed in his statements.

The UNAM Pumas goalkeeper also explained that Mexican goalkeepers must focus on improving their sporting level to have greater opportunities within the Liga MX and also to be able to compete with Guillermo Ochoa for a position within the Mexican team.

“We have to raise the level, it is the reality, the Mexican goalkeepers of my generation did not have as many opportunities to play because Talavera, Corona, Ochoa, played 10 or more years as starters and the other one had to wait, it was my turn to Oswaldo, Marchesín , Jona (Orozco) and Talavera,” he highlighted.

“You have to raise the level, since I arrived at Pumas I have become more professional, I have improved many things. I want to be very long-lived and play as long as possible, especially in a team like the one I am on,” concluded the university goalkeeper.
