An emotional moment was experienced in the match between Inter Miami and FC Cincinnati, where Argentine Lionel Messi’s team fell 1-0 and was left with no chance of entering the Major League Soccer (MLS) playoffs.
Although the Argentine star came off the bench in the 55th minute, he couldn’t do much for his team to achieve victory. However, thousands of fans attended the DRV PNK Stadium for a chance to see Messi live, including a child who had the opportunity to interact with the forward.
In a video shared on social networks, it was seen when a child approached Messi after avoiding the stadium security personnel. However, before he could arrive to fulfill his dream of hugging Lionel, Rosario’s bodyguard Yassine Chueko immediately prevented the little boy from getting any closer, spoke to him and later allowed him to be with the footballer.
Finally Messi took a photo with the boy and then signed his shirt. At the end of the match, the former Barcelona player stayed on the field for a few moments to thank the presence of the thousands of fans who attended the game just to see him play.
Messi began to kick balls to the stands of the stadium and the fans did not move. “La Pulga” did not leave the field.
It should be noted that the “Messi effect” was evident after the match between Chicago Fire and Charlotte, which had 18,000 spectators, 44,000 fewer people than those who were present at the previous match against Inter Miami three days before.
