Brigadier General of the Israel Defense Forces, Daniel Hagari, noted this Saturday that the Jewish State is advancing in the “phases of the war” against the Palestinian group Hamas and that Israeli soldiers attack Gaza by air, sea and land .

“Infantry, armor, engineering and artillery forces are participating in the activity, accompanied by heavy bombing,” said Hagari, highlighting that there are “still” Israeli soldiers fighting in the Palestinian enclave.

The defense spokesman also added that there have been no injured soldiers since last night when the Defense Force announced the expansion of its ground operations in Gaza, an enclave controlled by Hamas.

Hagari recalled that in the last few hours they killed two more Hamas leaders, who were responsible for the organization’s air and maritime command, and asserted that “their elimination represents good progress in the phases of the war and helps the forces “Fight against a weakened enemy.”

Likewise, he highlighted that the Army’s objectives are in principle to dismantle Hamas, protect Israel’s borders and achieve the return of the hostages kidnapped by the Islamists and other Palestinian militias in Gaza.

“All of this is part of our evaluations, our progress, our decision-making,” he stressed.

During Israel’s attack on Gaza by air, sea and land, the spokesperson anticipated that “humanitarian efforts” would increase and that more trucks with aid would enter the south of the Strip.

“To all Gaza residents who have moved to the south of the Gaza Strip, we are going to increase our humanitarian efforts,” said Hagari, who said that the trucks that access the south of the enclave will carry “food, medicine and water.”

He added that the southern part of the Strip “is safe and protected,” despite the fact that in recent days it has been one of the targets of Israeli bombing.

The last caravan with humanitarian aid entered Gaza on Friday through the Rafah crossing, on the border with Egypt, with twelve trucks with medical assistance and without fuel.

This was the fifth humanitarian convoy that has entered the strip since a week ago, thus adding 74 trucks with aid.

The war between Israel and Hamas began on October 7 with the Islamist group’s attack on Israeli territory, which left 1,400 dead, some 5,000 injured and more than 200 hostages who were taken to Gaza.

Since then, Israel has bombed the Strip daily, causing more than 7,000 deaths and almost 19,000 injuries.
