This Friday the first game of the World Series took place between the Texas Rangers and the Arizona D-Backs. The Arligton franchise took the victory at home 6-5 in an agonizing match that went to extra inning and was defined by a hit by Adolis García.
After the victory, not only the Rangers players celebrated, but also others outside of baseball such as Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Who, through his X account (formerly Twitter), expressed the happiness of his team’s victory.
“Wild,” was Mahomes’ tweet with the hashtag “World Series,” which he wrote just after Adolis García’s walk-off home run for the D-Backs in the first game of the World Series.
At 28 years old, Mahomes is already one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He also already holds two Super Bowls and two season MVP awards. The Chiefs currently lead the American Conference West with a 6-1 record.
Mahomes, big Rangers fan
Patrick Mahomes was born on September 17, 1995 in Tyler, Texas, he went to Texas Tech University and has been a Rangers fan since he was very young. Even today he continues to support them and watch his team’s games whenever he can.
“I was a big Rangers fan growing up, especially in those high school years when they were getting to the World Series and lost two of them,” Mahomes told reporters days ago.
“So I’m happy they made it to the World Series. Shane Buechele is a huge Rangers fan too. So I texted him when they got there. So it’s great to see. And with luck, they will go out and win,” the young quarterback said.
