Turkey is preparing to expose to the world the alleged war crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this Saturday.

“Israel has been openly committing war crimes for 22 days. Israel, we will expose your war crimes to the world, we are preparing it,” the president warned 10,000 people who attended a demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinians, held in Istanbul.

“The West does not even proclaim a ceasefire. How many children, how many more women must die until they announce a ceasefire? “Erdogan questioned.

In his speech, which was broadcast live on numerous television channels, he compared the deaths in Gaza due to Israeli bombings with the Holocaust of Nazi Germany and with the atomic bombs of World War II, attributing responsibility to the West.

The Israeli State has launched attacks towards the Gaza Strip in response to the deadly assault that the Islamist militia Hamas launched against its country on October 7.

“What they know how to do well is kill. They annihilated the Jews in the gas chambers, they erased cities from the map with their inhabitants inside with atomic bombs. We see the same mentality in Gaza,” said the Turkish president.

Turkish President: Hamas is not terrorist

He underlined the independence and greatness of Turkey as heir to the Ottoman Empire, to which they had belonged, he recalled, not only Syria and the Balkans, but also Gaza.

“Why don’t those who cried for the dead in Ukraine raise their voices for those who die in Gaza? Hey, West: do you want to spark a new fight of the Crescent against the Cross? If that is your intention, you know that this nation has not died, but is still standing,” he said.

“Hamas is not a terrorist organization but a group of freedom fighters,” Erdogan reiterated.

He described as unfortunate the attitude of the Turkish opposition, which, he asserted, recognizes that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “is a terrorist, but they say that Hamas is too.”

Erdogan concluded his speech by reiterating his proposal to proclaim an immediate ceasefire, act quickly to release the hostages held by Hamas, establish a humanitarian corridor to care for the population of Gaza, end the Zionist “settler terror” in the West Bank occupied and establish a peace agreement guaranteed by third countries.
