Walmart announced that 92% of its customers express some level of concern about inflation and how it will affect holiday celebrations, so it is redoubling its commitment to saving consumers more money.
“Over the past year, Walmart saved customers more than $1 billion on seasonal baskets and Rollbacks, from Thanksgiving to Easter and the back-to-school season,” the retailer said in a statement.
Given this fact, the retailer announced that it will be starting the Christmas season with some actions:
· Starting Nov. 1, Walmart will offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal at an even lower price than last year, making it more affordable for customers to prepare their holiday table.
· Walmart will offer two Thanksgiving meal options at an even lower price than last year, one with ingredients for customers who like to cook from scratch and another for customers who prefer more convenient, ready-to-bake options.
· Walmart’s Thanksgiving meal includes entrees and sides, including many national brands, from turkey (under $1 a pound) and ham to stuffing and pumpkin pie.
· Customers will be able to purchase these food baskets on Walmart.com or in the Walmart app for quick pickup or delivery in as little as 30 minutes and up to 90 minutes.
· Savings for holiday meals will apply from November 1 to December 26, 2023.
· The retailer will offer expanded pickup and delivery options, making shopping easier and faster, from Black Friday to Cyber Monday and last-minute gift giving.
· The chain says it has aggressively expanded its holiday gift assortment with more than 1,000 new items, more than 500 Walmart exclusives, and more than 25 of the best toys for 2023 are under $25, including top-of-the-line Barbie, LEGO, Pokémon and Squishmallows.
