The Brazilian attacker Vinicius Jr extended his contract with Real Madrid until June 30, 2027, as reported this Tuesday by the Santiago Bernabéu club.
According to Spanish media, not only will he earn an astronomical salary but the player was given a clause of one billion dollars, that is, making him non-transferable.
After signing, Vinicius posed next to the club president Florentino Pérez and held the Madrid shirt with the number 2027.
Vinicius arrived at the Spanish powerhouse in 2018 at the age of 18 from Flamengo in Brazil. Madrid paid more than $45 million dollars, with other assets, to sign the talented forward who is now the undisputed starter for Madrid and the Brazilian team.
In six seasons with Madrid, Vinicius has made 235 appearances, scoring 63 goals and winning nine titles, including the Champions League and the Spanish league twice. He scored the winning goal in the Champions League final as Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0 in 2022. His other titles with the club include the Copa del Rey, two Spanish Super Cups and two World Cups. In a statement, the merengue club said that Vinicius is already one of the club’s “most influential players in recent years.”
Vinicius happy to renew with Real Madrid
“I am very happy to renew my contract. “It’s a dream for me,” said Vinicius Jr. in a message recorded on video in front of some of the Champions League trophies won by the white club and broadcast through its account on the social network X.
“Hopefully I can continue here for many years, scoring many goals and winning many titles. Thank you very much for the love. “Hala Madrid,” says the Brazilian.
The message was broadcast in a video, which is part of the material distributed by Real Madrid through its social networks in which images of the player appear signing his contract extension with president Florentino Pérez or posing with a shirt with his name and the number 2027.
Vinicius Jr. has also spoken out through his social networks with a publication of photos and texts in which he comments: “Unlikely, but not impossible! The biggest and best club in the world!
